I Know This Because I Lived It
For 15 years, I ran a thriving medical clinic while raising a family and ticking every box.
From the outside, I looked capable and in control.
Behind the scenes? I was drowning.
My days blurred into an endless stream of patients, decisions, staff issues, and emails. Evenings were for parenting. Nights were for catching up on everything I hadn’t finished.
There was no space for me. My needs. My dreams. Even a quiet cup of tea felt indulgent.
I told myself I was holding it together. In truth, I was holding on by a thread.
Then came the crash.
One day, I simply couldn’t get out of bed. My body refused to keep going. And for the first time, I couldn’t voluntarily override it.
